HAMYCIN
Hamycin
is an antifungal antibiotic discovered and developed in 1961 by the research
team of Mr. M.J. Thirumalachar of Hindustan Antibiotics Limited, Pimpri
, Pune . Experimental and clinical studies conducted with this product
both in India and abroad . It is active against a large number of fungal
pathogens as well as saprophytes , the yeast like fungi being especially
sensitive. The antibiotic exhibits no appreciable activity against bacteria.
PENICILLINASE – ELISA
This enzyme is a product of Research & Development centre of Hindustan
Antibiotics Limited. It has the following functions:

Isolated from Bacillus Cereus and is useful in sterility testing of
ß - lactum antibiotics.
